About

Committees of Council play a key role in municipal decision-making by reviewing issues and making recommendations on specific areas of focus related to the services and operations of the Municipality.

These committees may include both elected members of Council and appointed members of the public, who contribute valuable perspectives and expertise. The committee’s recommendations are brought forward to Council meetings, where final decisions are made by elected members of Council. This process helps ensure that decisions are well-informed, transparent, and reflective of community needs.

All committee meetings are open to the public and are conducted in accordance with the Municipality’s Procedural By-law. Meeting dates, agendas and meeting minutes are publicly available on our Council Meetings page.
