By-Law Enforcement |
The Municipality of North Middlesex is utilizing the services of the Municipal Enforcement Unit (MEU) for municipal by-law enforcement including Parking, Tidy Yard, Property Standards, Encroachment onto municipal land, Open Air Burns to name a few. A SIGNED, WRITTEN COMPLAINT FORM (view form) must be on file with the MEU or municipal administration before an investigation into non-compliance issue will commence. In the event a signed/written complaint form cannot be completed (ie: after hours) an email containing the full contact information of the complainant, nature of issue and 911 location will also be accepted as a signed written complaint. Emergency and Safety Services/Fire |
The North Middlesex Fire Department is served by a volunteer fire department consisting of 50 dedicated volunteers, with fire stations located in both Ailsa Craig and Parkhill as well as one area covered by a Fire Protection Agreement with the Lucan-Biddulph Fire Department.

Municipal Planning Services are provided through the County of Middlesex Planning Department.
Municipality of North Middlesex Official Plan & Zoning By-laws: Official Plan - Consolidated August 2018 Zoning By- law - Consolidated January 2021 (it is the responsibility of the inquirer to consult the Municipality to confirm up to date zoning on a property as consolidations are only completed periodically)
Development Charge By-law - By-law 17 of 2018 was approved by Council on March 21,2018 and the new fees are in effect. Council has chosen to impose a 50% reduction to the total charges as outlined in the By-law. North Middlesex offers an Arena and Fitness Centre, 3 Community Centres, 6 Baseball Diamonds, 5 Soccer Fields, 7 Picnic Shelters, 2 Tennis Courts, 1 Road Hockey Court, 5 Playgrounds, 1 Splash Park and 1 Skateboard Park.
