North Middlsex Acquires Former Parkhill District Coop Property

Posted on Thursday February 20, 2020

The Municipality of North Middlesex is excited to announce to acquisition of the former Parkhill Co-Operative site at 192 Parkhill Main Street (pending standard closing conditions).  Hensall District Cooperative has generously donated the site to the Municipality for the future location of a combined Fire Station and County of Middlesex Emergency Services (EMS) Station.

The municipality has been searching for a suitable home for the Fire Hall and EMS Station for a few years. The Hensall Co-Operative site is adjacent to the existing fire station. “The proposed site offers many strategic advantages including response location, presence in downtown Parkhill, property size, and the availability of adequate servicing” North Middlesex Fire Chief, Greg Vandenheuvel commented.

The Municipality extends gratitude to Hensall District Co-Operative for the land donation.  The Municipality will recognize Hensall District Co-Operative’s generosity in the future build of the combined Fire Station and Emergency Services Station.
