Don Shipway - Mayor

Don is a proud, lifelong resident of the Municipality of North Middlesex. He resides in the village of Ailsa Craig with his wife Jean. Don &Jean have a daughter Donna, a son Mark whose wife is Terry and a son Bill whose wife is Chenny. Don & Jean are the proud Grandparents of seven and Great Grandparents of two.
Don served on the Village of Ailsa Craig Council for twenty-seven years, twenty of those as Reeve. His municipal time also consisted of 20 years of service on Middlesex County Council.

Besides Municipal Government, Don worked for the Ministry of Transport for thirty-five years retiring as Patrol Supervisor. Don also operated a trucking and backhoe business for many years.

Don's hobbies include building, working on and racing Open Wheeled race cars with his grandsons.

As Mayor Don looks forward to tirelessly serving the people of North Middlesex.

Brian Ropp - Deputy Mayor

Brian lives at 220 Ailsa Craig Main Street with his wife Janice. They have two sons, Darrin and Kyle who both have homes in Ailsa Craig as well. For 25 years Brian has worked for Four Seasons Sunrooms, Wood Manufacturing Division where he is the General Manager.
Brian is Co-Chair of the Ailsa Craig Gala Days Committee. As well he serves on various other volunteer groups.
Brian was first appointed to Council in February of 2010 to complete the term of the Ward Councillor.
Brian's interests include barrel racing horses, classic cars and hockey.

Doreen McLinchey - Councillor Ward 1

Resident of Parkhill, married to husband Gary who owns and operates Country Collectibles in Parkhill.
Together we have 2 daughters and 1 son.

I am a presently a field service representative for IDS Canada (Health Alliance).

A former Certified Health Care Aide for over 14 years at Chateau Gardens Nursing Home Parkhill (Retired in 2011).
As a Member of council l am proud to represent North Middlesex and is presently serving on the following committees:
Director and Past President of Community Futures Development Corporation of Middlesex County known as the Business Help Centre.

I continue to serve as a volunteer for VON and have been for over 20 years.

l have held many volunteer positions in community/area functions and committees. Some of my Past Accomplishments and Achievements are as follows:

Former Mayor & Councillor of Parkhill.

Joan Nichol - Councillor Ward 2

I have lived in Ailsa Craig for 28 years with my husband Bob. We have 2 children and I am the proud grandmother of 2 grandchildren.

I have been the Executive Director of Northwest Middlesex Multi-Service Centre for the past 21 years, I work part time for Craigwiel Nursing Home in the House Keeping Department and I am a retired Volunteer Firefighter with North Middlesex, Ailsa Craig and Parkhill Stations for 19 years.

I look forward to serving the people of Ward 2.

Gord Moir - Councillor Ward 3

My wife Wendy and I have been married for 33 years. We moved to 33802 Cassidy Road in Ward 3 ( the former McGillivray Township) in 1986. We have raised our 3 children, Melissa, Amy and Christopher all who have attended our local Public and Secondary schools and now have their own homes in the municipality.
I look forward to working with Council and staff in making North Middlesex a thriving and growing community.

Andy Hemming - Councillor Ward 4

My wife Janet and I have been married 33 years and have lived in the Municipality our whole lives. We have raised 2 sons, Adam and Kyle who have attended East Williams Public School and onto North Middlesex District High School.

We have owned and operated our business, Hemming Farm Equipment, for 31 years serving the community.

I will continue to be a proud representative of this great community. Thanks for the opportunity.

Adrian Cornelissen - Councillor Ward 5

Karen and I raised our family of eight children in North Middlesex, they all attended McGillivray Central Public School. We currently live on Sylvan Rd at the Old Atmore school location. I have worked in public service for such organizations such as the London Middlesex Children's Aid Society, Ministry of Health and Long Term Care Facilities. I am currently employed with Leads Employment Services, which is an organization that is provincially funded and provides employment, career counselling and skills training services for people with disabilities and barriers to employment.
